Jeni Howarth Williams appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
- A check in person on shift at Manchester Airport when Ashley and Maxine Peacock were flying off on their honeymoon in September 1999 (credited as "Jeni Williams")
- Sheila Hayes, mother of runaway Wayne Hayes, who appeared between June and December 2001 (credited as "Jeni Williams")
- Sandra, an employee at Dev Alahan's shop in Gorton in November 2005.
She also played the part of Elsie Tanner in three episodes of the programme adapted for public performance which were staged at the Lass O'Gowrie pub, Manchester in January 2012 under the umbrella title of 1968 Corrie by Jack Rosenthal, returning to the venue in the following January in Coronation Street 1977 - Live!, a restaging of two episodes from that year.
She trained at Laine Johnson Theatre School, Manchester.
Her other credits include roles in The Feather and Father Gang, Hollyoaks, Children's Ward, Wilmot, Linda Green, Emmerdale, Clocking Off, Blue Murder, Cold Blood and The Royal, along with the films Rebels Without a Clue and Best Little Whorehouse in Rochdale.
On stage, she appeared in productions including Salford Stutters, Paperboys, Miracle and Hotshot.
