Janet Elizabeth Rawson (born February 1956 in Preston) appeared on Coronation Street between March and May 1980 as Louise Clayton, the feisty but short-term assistant at The Kabin.

She trained at the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre.

Her other television roles include How's Your Father?, Second Chance, Dead Earnest, Affairs of the Heart, Brookside, Foxy Lady, Eh Brian! It's a Whopper, Casualty, Three Up Two Down, Nice Town, The Residents and Monday Monday, along with an uncredited role in the 1981 film The French Lieutenant's Woman.

On stage, she appeared in productions including Shakespeare and comedy roles (her personal favourite) in Stags and Hens, Absurd Person Singular and Bedroom Farce.

A playwright with four productions to her name, Thrilling, The Loneshes, 2049AD and Mopsy, Flopsy and Death, she is also a founder member of Steps Drama Learning Development, the leading drama based training company in the UK.
