Janet Rawson appeared in Coronation Street for eight episodes between March and May 1980 as feisty but short-term Kabin assistant Louise Clayton.

She trained at the Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre and her appearances in Coronation Street were among her first roles. She has since appeared on the stage in many roles including Shakespeare and comedy roles (her personal favourite) including Stags and Hens, Absurd Person Singular and Bedroom Farce. Her other television roles include Brookside, Dead Ernest, Foxy Lady and Casualty and she is also a playwright with four productions to her name: Thrilling, The Loneshes, 2049AD and Mopsy, Flopsy and Death. She is also a founder member of Steps Drama Learning Development, the leading drama based training company in the UK.
