Jane Slavin (born 11th March 1970 in Salford) appeared on Coronation Street in February 2005 as Della Hopkins, an ex-PA of car showroom owner Ian Davenport; and she returned to the programme as Wendy Neeson, the biological mother of Ryan Connor with appearances from December 2007 to March 2008 and in March 2018.
She trained at The Grange Arts Centre in Oldham and the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama, and has been credited for roles in Maigret, In Suspicious Circumstances, Band of Gold, Police 2020, Wycliffe, Ultraviolet, Unfinished Business, Peak Practice, Always and Everyone, Clocking Off, The Bill, The Eustace Bros., The Clinic, Heartbeat, Casualty, Lewis, Doctors and Holby City.
On stage she has appeared in productions of Communicating Doors, All Things Considered and Romeo and Juliet, and her novel Writing on the Water was published in 2003.
