Jane Lowe (born 5th June 1943 in Wigan) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- Barbara Bromley, involved in clandestine meetings with Alan Howard between March and April 1971
- Doreen Thornley, who in September 1976 cited Gail Potter as co-respondent in her divorce procedeedings from philandering husband Roy Thornley
- Flora McArdle's OAP friend, Bertha Plumtree, in May 2018
- Margaret Newsome, appearing between October and November 2020
In a career dating back to the mid-1960s, her other television credits include roles in Crossroads, Lizzie Dripping, Westway, Rooms, Crown Court, The Strange Affair of Adelaide Harris, Young Sherlock: The Mystery of the Manor House, Cockles, The Practice, Jonny Briggs, The Bill, Casualty, Bad Girls, Down to Earth, Doctors, Cold Blood, Holby City and Emmerdale. She also appeared in the feature films Lies... In Love, 7 Lives and The Creeping, along with the TV movies Life for Christine, Crime and Punishment and Housewife, 49.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Belle of Belfast City, Medea, Venecia, Hedda Gabler, Notes to Future Self, Calcutta Kosher and As Is.
