James McKenna (born 31st August 1953 in Glasgow) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly between February and March 1985 as journalist Jim Lomax, who wrote up the story about Derek Wilton and Mavis Riley jilting each other at the altar; and he returned to the programme in December 1994 as one of two immigration officers who interviewed Samir Rachid on suspicion of entering the country illegally.

Probably best known for appearing as Jack Osborne in Hollyoaks since 1996 - the second-longest serving actor in the programme, his other credits include roles in Affairs of the Heart, Taggart, Waterfront Beat, Rumpole of the Bailey, All in the Game and A Touch of Frost, along with the films Highlander and When Saturday Comes.

On stage, he appeared in a 1989 production of William Tell at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield.
