Jackie Downeyappeared on Coronation Street in May 2007 as Fiona, landlady of The Red Lion pub and old acquaintance of Liz McDonald.
She also appeared between 1985 and 1988 in the regular role of Glenys Pike, girlfriend of Cyril McGregor, in all four seasons of the Coronation Street spin-off The Brothers McGregor.
Her other credits include roles in Rosie, Nanny, The Bill, Life After Birth, Big Meg, Little Meg, Heartburn Hotel, No Angels and The Chase, along with the films The Krays, U.F.O. and The Virgin of Liverpool.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Dandy Dick, The Vortex, The Beggar's Opera, The Pirates of Penzance, Budgie, Matilda and Two by Two.
She has also worked for over twenty years as a voice coach.
