Jack William Woolgar (born 15th September 1913 in Thames Ditton, Surrey; died 14th July 1978 in Huddersfield) appeared on Coronation Street in four roles:
- A Television Man in January 1961
- A Darts Stall Holder at a Bank Holiday fair in August 1961
- A Steward in November 1962
- Cantankerous pensioner Arthur Noblett in September 1970
The latter role came five years after appearing in two separate roles in the spin-off comedy Pardon the Expression.
His other television credits include roles in Biggles, Knight Errant Limited, Yorky, Here's Harry, The Odd Man, The Villains, The Man in Room 17, Z Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Doctor Who (The Web of Fear), Tom Grattan's War, The Intruder, In for a Penny, The Onedin Line, Emmerdale and Crown Court. He also appeared in the regular role of Sam Carne in Crossroads between 1974 and 1978.
Film roles include The Spy with a Cold Nose, Hammerhead, Say Hello to Yesterday, The Raging Moon and Swallows and Amazons.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Jane Eyre, Strife and Much Ado About Nothing.
