Ivor Donald Dean (born 21st December 1917 in Edmonton, London; died 10th August 1974 in Truro, Cornwall) appeared on Coronation Street in July 1964 and January 1968 as property landlord Alfred Wormold.
He also appeared in Street spin-off Pardon the Expression in the April 1966 episode "Between the Covers".
His other credits include BBC Sunday-Night Theatre, No Hiding Place, The Villains, Dixon of Dock Green, Emergency-Ward 10, several roles in Armchair Theatre (but particularly their presentation of A Magnum for Schneider, the pilot for Callan), The Avengers, The Saint, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Nearest and Dearest, Father Dear Father and Jason King. His final role, shown a few months before his death, was in Boy Dominic.
Film roles include Where Eagles Dare and Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde. His radio work was confined to the 1955 series Suspense.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Blithe Spirit, Give Me Yesterday, Three Birds, Start from Scratch and Simple Spymen.
