Isla is the daughter of solicitor Paula Martin.
In August 2018, Isla began planning to go around the world backpacking on her own after splitting from her long-time girlfriend. Sally Metcalfe, a client and old school friend of Paula's, decided to try and set Isla up with her daughter Sophie however the pair didn't hit it off - much to the relief of Isla's mother as she had developed feelings for Sophie.
