Irlin Elizabeth Hall (born 8th July 1923 in Harraton, Sunderland; died 9th February 1991 in Kensington, London) appeared on Coronation Street in May 1972 as corner shop customer Mrs Fletcher.
Her other television credits included roles in Love Story, Before the Fringe, The Jazz Age, World in Ferment, Hadleigh, Full House, The Stars Look Down, Hazell and Tales of the Unexpected.
Film roles included The Woman with No Name, Private's Progress and Up Pompeii.
On stage, she appeared in productions of Flying Colours, The Winter's Tale, Sigh No More, A La Carte, On the Level, Sing a Rude Song, Forget-Me-Not Lane, Guys and Dolls, The Beggar's Opera and Schweyk in the Second World War.
She was married to actor Olaf Pooley in 1946 and their daughter is the actress Kirstie Pooley.
