Irene Skillington is an actress who appeared in Coronation Street in three roles:
- intermittently from 1988 to 1989 as Carole Burns who had an affair with Alan Bradley,
- in June 1998 as Barbara Day, an old actress friend of Alec Gilroy,
- from November to December 2000 as Connie Clayton, a role previously played by Susan Brown in 1985.
She's also appeared in Children's Ward, A Touch of Frost, Emmerdale, Screen Two, Seaforth, Harry, Cardiac Arrest, Coogan's Run, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, In Suspicious Circumstances, Heartbeat, Dalziel and Pascoe, Always and Everyone, Harold Shipman: Doctor Death and In Denial of Murder.
On the big screen she appeared in the hit film Brassed Off.
