Ian Lindsay appeared in Coronation Street in August 2007 as Hayley Cropper's Uncle Bert. The role had previously been played by Peter Wallis in 1999.
Born 21st October, 1939 in Repton, Derbyshire, his long list of television credits includes Z Cars, Happy Ever After, The Nation's Health, Forever Green, Peak Practice, The Bill and Hollyoaks but he is best known for his regular role as George, Martin Clunes's office colleague in Men Behaving Badly.
On stage he has appeared in Noises Off for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Kafka's Dick on tour.
