The ITU Nurse was on duty in the Intensive Care Unit at Weatherfield General after Claire Peacock had been rushed into hospital in July 2009. Having been found collapsed and lying motionless on the floor in the front room of 13 Coronation Street by employer Lloyd Mullaney.
On a ventilator in Intensive Care, the doctor told her husband Ashley that she was showing signs of regaining consciousness and encouraged him to speak to her to help bring her round. Offering him a chair, the nurse reassured Ashley that Claire would probably be aware that he was with her. However, he was quickly ushered out of the room when the monitors alerted the staff to a problem. The doctor later explained that Claire's blood pressure had dropped but now making good progress.
