Hugo was a model who by an accident of circumstance found himself having to use the services of Trim Up North one day in October 2020. Arrogant, pretentious and spoiled, Hugo had been looking over one of the Redbank Apartments (which he described as "a vile flat") when he received a phone call from his agent to say he had a fashion shoot tomorrow where he boasted that the photographer had asked for him specially. Used to having his locks trimmed at the exclusive Lawrence Fleming salon in Manchester where bookings there had to be made months in advance, Hugo had no choice but to slum it but took the opportunity to lord it over barber David Platt, choosing every word with maximum care to try and belittle him. David took it on the chin, but Shona Platt was less amenable, pricking his pretensions and making fun out of his ultra-trendy fashions.

Asking for decaffeinated lapsang tea, but settling for water, Hugo entered the premises but soon ran out in anger when Shona took advantage of David's turned back to shave off their customer's topknot. Threatening a top lawyer who his father played golf with, Hugo promised legal action, asking if David's universal credit could stretch to such a pay-out.

Hugo returned five days later, furious that he had been rejected from three castings because of his spoiled locks and threatened retaliation when he posted about the salon on social media, wiping the smirk off David's face when he claimed to have 2.8 million followers who would read all about his treatment there.
