Howard Crossley (born 16th February 1955 in Rotherham) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in April 1982 as a lorry driver dining in Jim's Cafe; and he returned to the programme in January 1985 as another lorry driver -also in Jim's cafe, named Jim.
His other television credits include roles in Open All Hours, Horace, Emmerdale Farm, Grafters, Peak Practice, The Cops, Messiah and Prisoners Wives.
Film roles include Wetherby, The Nature of the Beast, Girls' Night and Two Is a Family.
On stage, he appeared in productions of The Virtuoso, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Romeo and Juliet, A Woman Killed With Kindness, Columbus and the Discovery of Japan, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Coriolanus, Pentecost, The Merry Wives of Windor and Camino Real for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other works include Measure for Measure, An Enemy of the People and Henry IV.
