Heather Emmanuel appeared on Coronation Street playing two different medical-related roles: firstly as a Bet, a nurse in attendance when Minnie Caldwell was hospitalised in February 1969; and she returned to the programme as the doctor who attended Shelley Unwin in August 2005.
Her other television credits include roles in Dixon of Dock Green, The Andromeda Breakthrough, Danger Man, The Doctors, Crown Court, Angels, The Bill, Doctors and Trauma.
Film roles include uncredited parts in both Carry on Again Doctor and Carry on Up the Jungle along with The Tailor on Panama, South Kensington and Mamma Mia!".
On stage, she appeared in productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Stitch for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
