Harry Platt is the son of Sarah Barlow and half-brother of Bethany Platt and Max Turner. His and Max's father, Callum Logan, was killed by Max’s mother Kylie Platt when he assaulted Sarah, in an incident that took place before Harry was born.
Following Sarah's split from her husband Adam Barlow, Harry lives with his mum at 7 Redbank Apartments.
Biography
Sarah became pregnant with Harry after a short relationship with drug dealer Callum Logan. Before Harry was born, Callum was killed by Sarah's sister-in-law Kylie Platt, who was trying to rescue Sarah after Callum violently attacked her. Callum was buried in secret underneath the annex at 8 Coronation Street, which Sarah's mother Gail was using as a bedroom.
Sarah first found out that she was pregnant in December 2015. She originally planned on having an abortion, but Kylie talked her out of it as her son Max, who she loved deeply, had also been fathered by Callum. Sarah's daughter Bethany however, was less than impressed at the thought of having a baby sibling fathered by a man her family resented.
Harry was born in March 2016 and the baby's constant crying put Sarah under great stress, which didn't help as she was struggling with her mental health over Callum's death and his body being buried under the house. Sarah began to believe Harry detected Callum's presence.
When the location of Callum's body was found by police in May, Sarah's health deteriorated further. Believing Callum was still alive and coming for her, she attempted to barricade herself and Harry inside No.8. The Platt family eventually managed to force their way in and a tearful Sarah was taken away by an ambulance. She was kept in a mother-and-baby room with Harry at Weatherfield General's psychiatric ward where she was diagnosed with postnatal psychosis. The family united behind Sarah, urging her to stay in hospital and get better. Sarah tried to discharge herself when Kylie died suddenly in July 2016 in order to support her family, but was talked out of it by David and Bethany.
Later that year, Sarah began a relationship with Gary Windass and moved in with him, with Harry gaining a father figure. Sarah and Gary became engaged but ultimately broke up in June 2019 after Gary brought dangerous loan shark Rick Neelan into their lives. Sarah then began a new relationship with Adam Barlow, and they married in March 2020.
Sarah and Adam were married for three years, and Adam came to see Harry as his son. In June 2023, when Sarah gave in to temptation by sleeping with Damon Hay, Harry saw the pair kissing and told his grandmother Gail Rodwell. Sarah tried to get Harry to lie and say nothing about what he saw to Adam but this only upset the little boy further and he told his stepdad, causing Sarah to confess all. The couple split, with Harry staying with his mum at 7 Redbank Apartments, but they agreed to Harry being shared under a co-parenting agreement.
Background information
Harry was originally played by Woody Illsley and twins Pixie and Presley Sellars from his birth in March 2016. Illsley departed a month later while the Sellars twins continued in the role until January 2017. Freddie and Isaac Rhodes subsequently took over the role the following month.
