Harold "Harry" Patterson was the brother of Aunty Monica and the father of Hayley Patterson (previously Harold).
Hayley was raised by her father after his wife (Hayley's mother) walked out on them. Hayley took care of Harry following a work-related accident some time in the mid-1990s and became his home carer. Aside from attending day centre - which enabled Hayley to go out to work, Hayley's only other form support came from Harry's sister Linda who helped out "once a flood".
Hayley was notified of her father's death by Curly Watts - her manager at Firman's Freezers, who'd received the news in a telephone call from Weatherfield General.
