Harish Patel (born 5th July 1953 in Mumbai, India) appeared on Coronation Street between March and October 2009 as Umed Alahan, a paternal uncle of Dev Alahan.
Many of his credits are associated with Indian filmography and theatrical productions, however since the mid-2000s he has appeared in Run Fatboy Run, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, All in Good Time, Keith Lemon: The Film, Jadoo, Gangsta Granny, The Driver and Mapp & Lucia.
