Haldane Duncan (25th July 1940 - 26th December 2018) was a Scottish television director who has 16 episodes of Coronation Street from October 2000 to January 2004 to his credit, four of which were co-directed with Kay Patrick.

After leaving school in Edinburgh, he worked briefly in insurance before joining the College of Drama in Glasgow and other work in Scottish theatre. He joined the BBC in London in 1967 where he worked initially in comedy and light entertainment before moving to drama. In the early 1970s he transferred up to BBC Scotland and then joined Scottish Television where he worked from 1974 to the early 1990s on many series including directing their soap Take the High Road. Turning freelance, he then worked on The Bill, Brookside, Hollyoaks, The Game, River City and 260 episodes of Emmerdale over eight years, from 1999 to 2008.

Duncan died on 26th December 2018 aged 78.
