Graham David Fellows (born 22nd May 1959 in Sheffield) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in January 1979 as a young man who chatted up Gail Potter while she was waiting for Brian Tilsley outside The Roxy cinema; and he returned to the programme between June and July 1982 as Les Charlton, who had a platonic friendship with Gail while her now-husband Brian, was away working in Qatar.
Graham first rose to fame as Jilted John, who in August 1978 got to number four in the UK charts with a record also called Jilted John. At the time he said his ambition was to appear on Coronation Street and his wish was fulfilled four months later.
His other credits include roles in The Winning Streak, The Paradise Club, Coogan's Run, Heartbeat, Ideal and Count Arthur Strong.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Comic Cuts and John Shuttleworth - A Man With No More Rolls.
He now lives near Grantham, Lincolnshire and is now famous as bon viveur and keyboard ace John Shuttleworth.
