The Governor oversaw the running of Norcross Prison where Fiz Stape was incarcerated in 2011. After inmate Ginny Portis suffered from an overdose, she questioned Fiz about the drugs which were being supplied throughout the prison at the time. Fiz initially denied any knowledge but eventually confessed what she knew and that the supplier was Ruth Walsh. In exchange for this information, she was given a place in the mother and baby unit.
