Glory Bailey is the daughter of Michael Bailey and Grace Vickers.

Born in 2021, Glory was rejected by Grace as a baby and left in Michael's care. She now resides with her father at her grandparents' home of 3 Coronation Street, Weatherfield.

Biography[]

Glory was born prematurely at Weatherfield General in March 2021, after Grace was locked in an office in Freshco, having been falsely accused of shoplifting by security. The early arrival meant Glory was ill at birth and had to be placed on a ventilator.

While still in hospital, Glory developed anaemia, which prompted Michael's uncle Ronnie to reveal that he could be Michael's real father, as he had a history of sickle cell disease. However, Michael later carried out a DNA test and discovered that Ronnie was not his father.

Glory became well enough to be released from hospital in May 2021. The following August, Michael admitted to Grace that he didn't love her and had only been staying with her out of fear of losing his daughter. Grace used Michael's betrayal to successfully blackmail his parents Ed and Aggie into allowing her to live in a house rent-free that Ed was renovating, threatening otherwise to leave with Glory. In December, Aggie and Ed learned that Grace had been neglecting Glory, prompting Grace to admit she never wanted a baby, offering to sell her to them for £20,000. They gave in to her demands, so Grace relinquished all her parental rights to Michael, and left without telling Michael the reason why.

Grace returned in March 2022, ostensibly for Glory's first birthday party, but secretly revealed to Ed and Aggie that she wanted more money. Refusing to give in to her demands a third time, they told Michael about Grace's real reason for returning and her past extortions. Grace decided to leave again, this time without any extra money.
