Glenn Melvyn (born 12th November 1918 in Manchester, died 9th March 1999 in Surrey) appeared in three roles in Coronation Street:

He also appeared in the 1967 spin-off Turn out the Lights in the episode You Can't Get Out Of The Wood.

In the early 1950s he both wrote and appeared in the BBC comedies Love and Kisses and I'm Not Bothered and the play and film comedy The Love Match but later on concentrated on acting, appearing in Taxi!, The Villains, The Likely Lads, Hugh and I, The Ronnie Barker Playhouse and several roles in Z Cars. He worked with Jack Howarth in the 1957 Thora Hird series Be Soon and with Betty Driver and June Barry in a 1965 radio production of J.B. Priestley's When We Are Married.
