Glen was a van driver who was making deliveries to begin the refurbishment of Nick Tilsley’s new bar and, leaving his van on the pavement outside the corner shop, was almost double parked with another one outside The Kabin, causing an obstruction. Sunita Alahan asked him to move, saying he was almost parked in her pickles and sauces. He, in turn, said the problem was her flowers (“It’s almost Kew Gardens”) and suggested she move the display instead.

Eighteen years later he was back with his colleagues carrying out a house clearance at 11 Coronation Street. An outraged Eileen Grimshaw, returning from a shopping trip to Freshco, stopped the men and demanded to know who had given them their instructions and the keys. Glen rang his boss on his mobile who told Eileen that Pat Phelan had given them the job but she made it clear that they had all had a trick played on them and her furniture was to be put back in the house or the police would be involved. The culprit wasn't Phelan, by then a wanted criminal in hiding, but instead Faye Windass who unfairly blamed Eileen for her mother Anna being imprisoned and who was terrorising Eileen with a series of crank calls and other acts of intimidation.

Credited as "Van Driver" and "Driver" in his respective appearances, the character's name was given in dialogue in his 2018 episode.
