The Girl in coffee bar was hanging around while Dennis Tanner and Laurie Frazer chatted at one of the tables. Dennis had returned to the northern office of talent agent Lenny Phillips for the first time since Christmas and had found Lenny's nephew Norman Phillips at his desk. Laurie took Dennis out and told him with as gently as possible that he wasn't right for showbusiness and was sacked. All the time, the girl had her eyes on Laurie and he, in turn, wasn't above casting covetous glances in her direction. He joined her at the pinball machine but so did Dennis wanting some straight answers, and making an awkward third wheel until Laurie gave up and left.
