Geraldine Alexander (born 1960 in Leamington Spa) appeared on Coronation Street intermittently between October 2004 and January 2007 as DS Louise Surrey.
She graduated from RADA in 1981.
Her other credits include roles in Killer, Taggart, Doctor Who, Bust, Casualty, A Dance to the Music of Time, Forgotten, The Bill, Doctors, EastEnders, Case Sensitive, Shetland and Bridgerton, along with the films Méchant garçon, The Discovery of Heaven, Messages and Passage.
On stage, she appeared in productions of The Plain Dealer, Richard III, Jumping the Rug, The Master Builder and Twelfth Night for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Other works include Peter Pan, Sweet Bird of Youth, Blithe Spirit, The Maid's Tragedy, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Tempest, The Golden Ass, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Pillars of the Community, Titus Andronicus, Strange Interlude, Breaking the Code and Oslo.
