George Shuttleworth is the undertaker son of the late Archie Shuttleworth.
Biography
In December 2018, George introduced himself to Audrey Roberts and Ken Barlow at his father's will reading. He presented Ken with a brass monkey, which had originally belonged to Blanche Hunt, and also informed Audrey that she had inherited £80,000.
By 2020 George had taken over Shuttleworth's Independent Funeral Directors from his father and, when his usual florist let him down, he began doing business with Preston's Petals. Following an incident in September, Mary Taylor took issue with George - stating that she found him “overbearing, odious and downright obnoxious”. Mary was seemingly won round when he turned up at the Rovers to apologise - however, it became apparent that he had actually sought her out to ask that she have a word with her boss about some droopy flowers.
In January 2021, George and Gail Rodwell discovered that they shared great-great grandparents Augustus and Fanny Page.
