George C. Siougas (born Athens, Greece in 1973) has directed 49 episodes of Coronation Street broadcast since November 2019, including twelve as a co-credit.
He moved to the United Kingdom at the age of twenty to study at the London Film School. Whilst there, he made five short films which between them have been shown at over fifty festivals worldwide and earned five Grand Prixs and four Best Director awards. He worked back in his native Greece in the 2000s on television series such as Vera sto dexi and Ta mystika tis Edem before moving once more to the UK and directing So Awkward, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale.
