Geoffrey Hugh Reed (born 14th November 1921 in Chester, died 5th September 2008 in Bembridge, Isle of Wight) played six roles on Coronation Street:
- A lorry driver who gave Ena Sharples a lift back from Blackpool in October 1961.
- A workman in November 1962
- A policeman in August 1963
- Sid, a labourer on the maisonettes in May 1968
- Ivor, an employee of Fairclough and Booth in October 1968
- A bulldozer driver in April 1969
He also appeared in two of the Street spin-offs Pardon the Expression and Turn out the Lights.
His other television credits include roles in The Verdict is Yours, The Odd Man, Family Solicitor, Bulldog Breed, Crossroads, The Villains, Z Cars, The Corridor People, The Troubleshooters, The Avengers, No Hiding Place, Man in a Suitcase, Fraud Squad, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Hadleigh and All Creatures Great and Small.
Film roles include All Neat in Black Stockings, The File of the Golden Goose and Macbeth, along with the short The Magnificent Six and ½: Peewee's Pianola.
He was previously married to Street actress Joan Francis, who appeared on the programme between January 1961 and November 1969 as Dot Greenhalgh.
