Geoffrey Matthews appeared on Coronation Street as Gamma Garments manager Neil Crossley between July and September 1963, returning to the role between November and December 1966.
His other credits include the 1962 film The Day Of The Triffids, BBC Sunday-Night Theatre, Emergency-Ward 10, Suspense, The Villains, The Wednesday Play Z Cars, Mr Rose, Play for Today, Churchill's People, Dial M For Murder and Lizzie Dripping.
On stage, he appeared in The Brass Butterfly and A Majority of One.
He also took part in many productions for BBC radio, including the starring role of a 1957 version of The History of Mr Polly and many productions for Saturday Night Theatre and Afternoon Theatre.
