Geoffrey Arnold Hibbert (born 2nd June 1922 in Sculcoates, Hull; died 3rd February 1969 in Epsom, Surrey) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in April 1963 as rent collector, Mr Glegg; and he returned to the programme in October 1967 as workman Jim Lloyd, who rescued Len and Stanley Fairclough from a fire in Len's builder's yard.
He also appeared in an episode of the Street spin-off Turn out the Lights in January 1967.
His acting career spanned almost three decades and was first seen on television as Captain Kennedy on the children's variety show Whirligig. Subsequent credits included roles in Into Thin Air, The Vise, Garry Halliday, No Hiding Place, The Men from Room 13, The Pursuers, Bootsie and Snudge, Here's Harry, Emergency-Ward 10, Z Cars, Harry Worth and Oh Brother!.
Film credits include Love on the Dole, The Shipbuilders, Orders to Kill, Great Van Robbery, Operation Bullshine and Heavens Above!.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Young Woodley, Too True to Be Good, The Constant Couple, The Devil's General, The Boy Friend, The Lily White Boys and House of Cards.
