Gary Whitaker (born 1967 in Bradford) appeared in Coronation Street in April 2014 as Clive, a foreman employed by Pat Phelan to make the working lives of Owen Armstrong and Gary Windass as miserable as possible.
A former child actor, he has also appeared in A Dorothy L. Sayers Mystery, First of the Summer Wine, The Brittas Empire, Always and Everyone, In Deep, Sunday, The Vice, Heartbeat, Dalziel and Pascoe, Doctors, Casualty, Vincent, Waterloo Road, The Bill, Wire in the Blood, Holby City, 183 Days, Fallet, Modus, The Restaurant and Sommaren 85.
On film, he has been seen in The Gathering and Melancholia.
Stage roles include parts in The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4, Wildest Dreams and Easy Laughter His work includes parts for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He was also an actor, director and Joint Artistic Director of the Gothenburg English Studio Theatre.
