Gary Hanks (born in Bolton) appeared in Coronation Street as a postman in February and March 2014. He returned to the programme as Dane Everton, who supplied Gary Windass with cannabis in March 2016.
He trained at the David Johnson Drama School in Manchester and the University of Central Lancashire. He has also appeared in Monroe, Emmerdale, Shameless, Doctors, Cucumber and Hollyoaks as well as the short films Friendly Fire, Before We Work and You Are So Loved.
Stage work includes Mine's a Pint, Dinnerladies, Pornification, A Canopy of Stars, Tull Touring, The Accrington Pals, Port, Meanwhile, Big Sid, Twelve Miles From Nowhere, House Through Time and Seeing Red.
