Gareth Berliner (born 1st April) appeared in Coronation Street sporadically between October 2014 and August 2017, and in February 2019 as Macca, a friend of Callum Logan.
He is a stand-up comedian and actor who has performed at clubs and comedy fringe festivals, both nationally and internationally. His other television credits include Dr Who, The Bastard Executioner and EastEnders, along with the film Brimstone.
He gained the attention of Coronation Street producers after an open audition for a completely different role and was asked instead to play the part of Macca, and originally brought in to appear in two episodes. This was his first role in television, his agent being Felix De Wolfe.
