Gabrielle Drake (born 30th March 1944 in Pakistan) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Swede Inga Olsen in June 1967; and returned to the programme as Vanessa in June 2009.

Because of her father's work, she spent her first eight years travelling around Burma, India and the Orient. When the family returned to England she was educated at Wycombe Abbey School for Girls in High Wycombe. Upon leaving school, she spent some time in Paris as an au pair girl looking after a family with four children. She then trained for several years at the Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts, then she joined a group of other recently graduated students to form the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool.

Her other credits include The Avengers, The Saint, UFO, The New Avengers and Crossroads. Her brother was the late singer/songwriter Nick Drake.
