The Furniture Shop is a building unit situated in one of the Viaduct Street archways.
The premises was formerly the bodyshop for Webster's Autocentre, but in July 2019, owner Kevin Webster allowed his former partner's son Gary Windass rent the now-empty unit to store furniture on the site and, pointing out that the items were of high quality, persuaded him to start the new business. With Gary's shop opening almost immediately thereafter, he hired Fiz Stape as an antiques expert in September.
In the following February, Ray Crosby blackmailed Kevin into selling both the garage and the archway to him after threatening to report him for giving Abi Franklin a fake alibi after she set fire to his car.
