Frank Worral was a scrap dealer who was interested in 6 Coronation Street when Des Barnes put the house on the market in 1991. Frank was looking for a new home for himself, his wife and their dogs.

When Frank arrived to look over No.6, there was nobody at home so he asked Des's next-door neighbour Mavis Wilton if he could see inside her house, which had a similar layout, although she refused his request. Having come outside to give Frank the once-over, Mavis was startled to hear dogs barking inside his van - which stopped the moment their owner yelled at them. Mavis was horrified by the prospect of having them as neighbours, and Frank's offer to give her the pick of the litter when his dog sired pups didn't endear her to the idea. Later, a deeply concerned Derek Wilton asked Jim McDonald for a character reference for Frank, who'd told Mavis that he knew him. Amused by the Wiltons' predicament, Jim advised them not to leave their lawnmower out in the open at night.

Frank returned for a proper viewing when Des was at home. As No.6 only had a small garden, Frank made an offer below the asking price, although Des didn't accept it. Mavis, keen to hear the latest news, stood by The Kabin doorway trying to eavesdrop, but the heavy traffic in the Street stymied her attempts.

The character was credited as "Frank Worral" in his first appearance and "Frank Worrell" in his second.
