Francis Birch (born 5th April 1933 in Stockport, died 16th February 1984 in Bangor, Wales) appeared on Coronation Street in five roles:
- Archie, a Rovers' customer in February 1968
- A drunken bandsman who in June of the same year, called in the corner shop by mistake
- A singer in the Rovers two months later
- Canal Garage customer Mr. Walsh in January 1972
- A milkman appearing intermittently between October 1974 and July 1978.
He was a former member of the Stockport Junior Garrick Theatre, Colwyn Bay Light Opera Society, Llandudno Musical Players and Llandudno Theatre Club.
His other credits included roles in Nearest and Dearest, The Dustbinmen, A Family at War, Crown Court, Village Hall, All Creatures Great and Small, Emmerdale Farm, Nanny and the 1979 film Dracula.
He and his wife Eirlys also ran the Bryn-y-Fedwen Hotel in Llandudno.
