You asked for feedback on the changes to the main page. I think part of the problem now is that the "Featured Article" section hangs down below the rest too much whereas the previous ordering left the page nice and compact. Two suggestions: either a further bit of re-ordering or add a new section in the blank space with further reordering of the media quotes. I've had some thoughts recently that we some pages which, unless you know they are there, are not obvious to the casual reader - list of weddings, lists of deaths, viewing figures, the TV Times pages I'm working on. I'd also like to do a total number of appearances page for the longest running characters showing how many episodes they've done in total - we need the individual character's appearances pages to be complete to do this but we only have about 10 to go now. How about adding a new section called "Pages of Interest" for such things?--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 08:19, October 4, 2012 (UTC)
- That wasn't my doing, Wikia has tinkered with the layout and column widths (on all the articles, the right column with the recent edits at the top is slightly wider) which has messed up the Main page layout - although it shouldn't, as each column is supposed to take up 1/3 of the page, so I'm hoping the Wikia tech wizards correct it. My edit was a change of the wording in the intro (removing the sentence before the main section links), updated where to watch, and right justified the quotes dotted around the page (not the quotes themselves but the person quoted).
