Plot[]

Part One: Shona flatly refuses to break the law for Clayton. Chesney spots an inscription on Sylvia's ring reading "RP 01-03-59 Rhea". Roy doesn't know what it signifies. David tells Nick he's decided to stand by Shona and be the bigger man. Nick is humbled by his attitude. Jenny gets drunk on complimentary wine while having a massage. Johnny is concerned that she's still boozing after the court case went their way. Brian goes crawling to Rita and offers to do anything to get her back at The Kabin, buzzing her flat until she lets him in. Nick apologises to Shona for his harshness earlier and tells her that she's good for David. Tyrone minds Joseph so that Chesney can keep Gemma company in the Rovers. Johnny asks Jenny why their marriage makes her so unhappy that she has to drink so much. His incessant questioning nearly leads Jenny to walk out on him.

Part Two: David apologises to Shona for Nick and admits that although he doesn't want Clayton dead, he doesn't want him to have an easy option such as an open prison. Rita happily returns to work. Brian admits to Cathy that he had to appoint her as manager to keep her sweet. Johnny manages to get Jenny to talk about her hatred towards Liz. She says she hates that Liz was able to give him something she couldn't and wanted her to pay for it. Jenny doesn't see how their marriage can survive as they've lurched from one disaster to another. Gemma puts Emma behind the bar in order to get time alone with Chesney. Roy becomes determined to find out what the inscription means, hoping to gain an insight into Sylvia's past. Carla is thrilled with Roy's gift. Johnny and Jenny agree that they take pleasures in the little things and begin to move past their problems. Jenny promises not to bottle things up any more. Emma doesn't take to being a barmaid but Gemma leaves her to it while she has some alone time with Chesney in the cellar. As David and Shona head for bed, someone breaks into No.8 through the back door.
