Plot
Ena's song turns out to be "Onward Christian Soldiers". The bank refuses Ken a loan. Annie sends Elsie on a mission to weaken Len's resistances. Stan is forced to give Ena £10 for "Dreaming Time". Bernard interrupts Len and Elsie and is sent packing by Len. When he tells the men about it they send him back, thinking Len doesn't realise Elsie is playing him. Len nearly goes for Bernard when he bursts into his parlour when he and Elsie are getting cozy. Ken asks Dave Smith for a loan. The men and women begin to weaken. The football bus is moved to Bessie Street. Len tries to take credit but Ena tells everyone it was because Coronation Street is too narrow. Bernard hears that Ray will be back soon. Alan phones Len to say he's sold the salon.
