Plot
The Victoria Street Mission opens. Ena starts to play the harmonium there. Ernie preaches. Willie Piggott tells Emily his tender is £11,900. Emily and Hilda are frightened by Ernie's sermon on betrayal. Emily confesses to Ray and Len. Len, Ray and Piggott toast to the tender.
