Plot[]
An angry and depressed Ray tells Ena he'd rather have died than be in his state. Val celebrates her birthday. Hilda writes to Irma about the crash in the hope she'll come over to see them. The Turpins discover the jacket was Ken's. Sandra meets Ray for the first time, takes a fancy to him and is the only resident to treat him as a human being. Betty gives the letter to Val - it is a letter from an admirer to Ken. She doesn't let on she has the letter or tell Ken what is wrong with her. Ray wears the Flemings out. Elsie hears noises at No.9 whilst Len is still in Huddersfield and assumes he is back but when Len rings the Rovers, Elsie wonders just who is in his house.
