Plot[]

Part One: Billy and Jasmine are frustrated that they haven't had a moment to themselves since they arrived. Hilda's constant moaning about Stan exacerbates Annie's supposed headache. Jack refuses to get involved when Annie insists that Billy cannot marry Jasmine as she's not good enough for him. Audrey assures Dickie she's not interested in Robert Matthews. He's given them three tickets to the cinema, however he himself can't now go due to work. Dickie also has to work and says he wouldn't have gone even if he could. Billy and Emily notice that something is wrong with Annie. Desperate to be rid of Hilda's chattering, Annie lets her go early and asks Emily to ring the doctor for her while she takes to her bed. Gordon agrees to go with Audrey when Dickie asks him. Billy is taken aback when Annie assures him that her not being well has nothing to do with Jasmine being around; he hadn't made any connection. Jasmine enjoys helping Jack behind the bar. Billy tells his father that he knows Annie is trying to drive a wedge between him and Jasmine, and unless he stops her trying, she's going to get badly hurt.

Part Two: Dickie teases Minnie that he'd like an alligator as a pet. He packs off Audrey for her cinema trip. Jack tells Annie that he knows she's not ill; Billy knows it as well, and she's in danger of losing her son. Hilda is also a customer at the cinema and is surprised to see Gordon with Audrey. She watches them more than the film. Annie gets up to talk to Jack. She begs him to speak to their son but he advises her that more she tries to come between them, the closer they will become. She realises the truth of his words. Amused by Hilda's intent stares, Gordon and Audrey hug to give her something to gossip about. She's scandalised. Billy is surprised when he and Jasmine return from a meal out and Annie is sweetness and light. A moment later, she collapses in the bar.
