Plot[]
Owen calms down after his outburst. He admits to Anna that he can't get her and Phelan out of his head. Sophie returns from Devon without Maddie. Sally nervously shows off her engagement ring to her. Carla sends Steve and Michelle away to discuss their affairs more discreetly. Roy shares his concerns about Carla with Sally. Owen and Anna go along to the meal to avoid Gary getting suspicious. Michelle tells Steve that sorry isn't enough. She admits she doesn't want to break up with him but is having trouble forgiving him. Peter turns up at the factory, insistent on on being kept in the loop in business matters. Michelle decides not to finish with Steve. Gary announces he's got an interview for a job with a twelve-month contract, and he expects to get it as a friend set it up. He offers to put in a good word for Owen, but Owen refuses charity. Sophie tells Sally that Maddie will be home in a few weeks. Sophie tells Sally she senses she isn't keen on marrying Tim, but Sally insists she wants to marry him. A tipsy Marcus tells Todd he loves him. After Owen, Anna and Katy have gone, Gary asks Izzy what Owen's problem is. Izzy says his pride has been hurt. Roy offers Carla some sage advice, saying she'll cope by being strong and resilient as usual, but Carla has doubts.
