Plot

Simon continues to disobey Peter. Simon grabs a spare set of keys to the flat before going to school. Karl is uncomfortable with Sunita staying at the Rovers. Marcus helps Maria out of a tight spot. Simon is sent to Brian's office for crying in assembly. Simon disappears when Brian isn't looking. Ken accuses Peter of using Simon as an emotional commodity but Peter thinks it's a ridiculous suggestion. Brian informs Carla that Simon is missing. Peter thinks he'll go to Leanne but Leanne hasn't seen him. Dev confides in Sophie that Sunita has a man. Sunita urges him to swallow his pride and try and get Sunita back for the twins sake. Simon lets himself into the flat. Lewis is ill so Nick recruits Gail as a stand-in waitress. Dev gives Sunita flowers and tells her he believes her if she says there's nobody else. Simon hides in the utility cupboard when Peter and Carla return to the flat with a police officer. The officer advises Peter to stay put in case Simon returns home but he Peter leaves to look for him. Sunita isn't interested in getting back together with Dev and tells him she'll be taking the kids when she leaves home. He accuses her of only being interested in thrill but she says she's tired of being a convenience for him. Simon finds a bottle of wine inside the cupboard. Peter and Carla find him in the flat unconscious next to the bottle. Nick sees them rushing to hospital in a car and passes the news onto Ken. David thinks Maria is smitten with Marcus. Carla admits to Peter she stashed the drink in the cupboard even though they agreed not to keep drink in the house. Gail is a terrible waitress so Nick puts her behind the bar instead. Eva ensures the evening goes smoothly, impressing Nick. Leanne and Ken arrive at the hospital and are appalled to discover the reason Simon is ill. Leanne thinks Social Services should be informed. Simon is okay but has to spend the night in hospital. Sunita tells Karl she's left Dev for good but he isn't pleased and tells her he wants to call off their affair. Aadi and Asha keep asking Dev questions about where Sunita is. He's surprised when they say she always cries. Leanne gives Peter some home truths about how he always puts Simon last. He tells her Simon is nothing to do with her anymore as she's not his real mother. Leanne is pleased when Nick arrives to support her. Sunita demands that Karl tell Stella about their affair, threatening to tell her herself if he doesn't. Carla suggests she stays with Michelle for the night. Peter doesn't stop her.
