Plot[]

Peter admits to Ken that he's having difficulty writing his speech and finding it hard to relive the night of the tram crash. Lloyd confesses to Peter how he tried to kiss Stella and now feels a total idiot. He makes Peter promise not to tell Leanne. Peter visits Jonno, an old mate from his alcoholics' group, in hospital. Jonno's seriously ill with liver failure and the two men hug each other and cry. Peter goes to collect his car from the garage and it's clear that Tyrone's upset about something. Tyrone tells Peter he's just found out that baby Jack's name has now been officially changed from "Dobbs" to "Webster". Peter's sympathetic. Peter and Leanne arrange a party in the Rovers for their 1st wedding anniversary. Dr Carter tells Peter and Leanne that they may have difficulty conceiving as one of Leanne's fallopian tubes is damaged as a result of her miscarriage. Leanne's gutted and suggests to Peter they pay for IVF. Peter's forced to admit that he's lent their savings to Ciaran. Peter attends his alcoholics' meeting and tells the group how worried he is about making a speech at the memorial service. Carla arrives at the meeting and tells the group how she was assaulted and tried to take her own life and wouldn't be here now if it weren't for a very good friend. Peter and Carla exchange knowing looks. Howard the group leader, tells Peter that Jonno has died in hospital. Peter's devastated. He tries again to write his speech but with no luck. Reaching for a bottle of vodka he takes a huge swig.

  • This episode was specially written to be entirely focused on Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), and the character appeared in every scene.
