Plot[]
Julie bumps into Brian in his running gear. They arrange to meet for a drink. Lloyd spots Chris and Cheryl deep in conversation. He's immediately jealous. Maria tells Chris how sorry she is and how she'll be there for him but Chris is adamant that she's got enough on her plate and he doesn't want to be a burden. It's Stella's birthday. Karl and Eva spoil her rotten. Mary suffers one of Kylie's head massages. She refuses to pay and stomps out. After much deliberation, Leanne drops a birthday card off at the Rovers for Stella. However, Eva secretly tears it up and when Stella asks if Leanne called in, Eva lies saying she hasn't seen sight nor sound of her. Stella's disappointed. Cheryl accompanies Chris to see his consultant. The consultant confirms that Chris has a brain tumour, it's malignant and he needs radiotherapy. Audrey reads the riot act to David and Kylie for upsetting her customers and reminds them that she's in charge. Cheryl takes Chris back to No.13. She promises that she'll support him all the way. Chris is grateful. Lloyd walks in on the cosy scene and immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion. Chris leaves and Cheryl explains to Lloyd that Chris has a life-threatening brain tumour. Cheryl's furious that he clearly doesn't trust her and Lloyd feels terrible.
