Plot[]

Part One: Steve finds the bistro dinner with gobby Beth and the strange, staring Craig a nightmare. Becky enjoys the spectacle. Maria's furious when Marcus informs her that Chris has failed to pick up Liam from nursery as they'd agreed. Becky finds out that Steve and Becky have known each other for long and ruins the evening by telling Beth that she is Steve's wife. A row breaks out and Nick asks Steve and Beth to leave, agreeing not to charge them. Maria finds Chris in the Rovers and rages at him. He apologises, saying that he's no memory of the arrangement. Realising their date was a mistake, Steve and Beth agree to go their separate ways. Becky is exultant at Steve's embarrassment. Nick gives her a formal warning with a grin on his face which she takes in the right spirit. Chris is secretly worried about his memory loss. David riles Becky, saying that social services have agreed to Max's first access visit and that soon he'll be living with them. Becky's gutted.

Part Two: Pushed by Cheryl, Nick admits that he likes Becky a lot, though he wonders if he's just a way of her getting back at Steve. David and Kylie look forward to their future with Max. Amber's surprised when Tyrone enters the corner shop. She asks him if he's recovered from his hospital emergency. Realising that Tommy's told more lies, Tyrone tries to cover for his mate but Amber sees straight through him. Becky tells Nick the news about Max and how much it makes her hate Steve. Tommy thanks Tina for such a great meal. However the mood is shattered when Amber storms in. Audrey tells David that she's having Mondays off in future and leaving him in charge of the salon. David's thrilled, whilst Gail thinks that she's mad. Amber explains to Tina how Tommy's been two-timing them and told them both a pack of lies. Tina dumps the unwashed pots and pans on the floor and tells Tommy he can clear up. Tyrone is amused. At the end of their evening shift, Nick tells Becky that although it was fun he's calling an end to their relationship as it's obvious that she's still in love with Steve. With no regrets on either side, Becky admits he's right and tells him it's best if she gives up her job at the bistro too. They part on good terms.
